Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is the practice of treating human malady through conversation. It is what is otherwise referred to as Therapy.

While collaborative conversation may seem like a simple encounter, it is the therapist’s role and position to have a deep and broad understanding of all that might occur in that relational context. It is inclusive and contains all that might come up within the boundaries of both ethics and professional capacity.

Tammy treats people holistically with body, heart and mind awareness.

Clinical Supervision

Supervision is the term used for therapists’ consultations with a senior or a peer to resolve professional concerns.

Therapists who work with a broad clientele (aka humanity) must retain a high level of professionalism and ethical practice. As part of their training and ongoing professional growth and development they are required and highly recommended to enjoy a high level of self-awareness, clarity and capability.

Therapy is a relational encounter. No matter what orientation a therapist is trained, essentially, they must deal with those human aspects which arise in the total situation: the meeting of two beings, heart and mind.

Concerns such as the setting, financial agreements, long term relational understandings, misunderstandings, the direct questions, society, culture, gender, professions, and on and on may touch on our own awareness and blindness.

Regular meetings with a senior provide that sort of holding and containment of a therapist. Those can be offered individually and in small groups.
